Remke History
Remke Industries was founded in 1963 by John Remke. The business, originally located in Chicago, began selling indenter fittings for conduit and steadily added other electrical connector components throughout the years. After John’s death in 1985, the company built a new building to house both production and business offices in Wheeling, IL, located in Chicago’s northwest suburbs. Shortly thereafter, Remke added an additional 5000 sq. ft. to the Wheeling facility to accommodate the company’s growth and their new Engineered Services division. With the business expanding, the company decided to rent another facility close by to handle the increase in orders.
In 2018, the company opened another location in nearby Vernon Hills, IL. This location serves as both its headquarters and houses a production facility for their molded connectors line in addition to serving as the central warehousing location. Remke competes on a global scale for its core business of cord grips and cable connectors. Remke has one of the most extensive lineups of cord grip combinations with over 5000 standard and modified configurations. Remke continues to innovate today with a host of new products and custom engineering services designed to meet the needs of electrical contractors and original equipment manufacturers.
